Circa Iron Furniture About Us Ironcraft has been handcrafting metal products in NZ since 1966 and designing and manufacturing high quality metal furniture since 1972. We remain committed to the authentic use of iron in the interiors sector. Our products are hand made in our Auckland factory to the highest levels of craftsmanship. Our primary markets are high end furniture retailers, interior designers and commercial specifiers and as a result a large amount of our work is customised in some way. Company History Ironcraft started life in 1966 as "Curtain Mesh Products" manufacturing Fireplace accessories, eventually expanding into bathroom hardware and brass furniture. During the 1970's Brass and Chrome furniture made up the bulk of sales and during the 1980's Ironcraft started manufacturing Circa Iron Furniture under licence to an Australian company. It was 1992 when Ironcraft started manufacturing curtain rods under the brand name of "Palladio". In 2001 Ironcraft purchased the brands, trademarks and designs of Circa furniture in both New Zealand and Australia. Also during the same year Ironcraft purchased the business and brands of "Sound Creations" which supplies specilalist furniture and accessories to the Hi-Fi retailers throughout New Zealand. In 2004 the "Metallo Furniture" brand was launched as an umbrella brand for our modern contemporary furniture. Early in 2006 the ranges of both Circa and Metallo were increased to 17 ranges comprising over 250 items.
