IRONCRAFT

IRONCRAFT

IRONCRAFT was first established in the 1960’s, originally operating from a factory in Eden Terrace and known as Curtain Mesh Products, CMP. As the business grew the factory moved from Nikau to Charlotte and then Ethel Street in Morningside.  Since September 2014 IRONCRAFT has been based at 7 Cherry Lane, Wairau Valley.

From the initial furniture manufacture focussing on fabrication of brass and chrome coffee tables, the business expanded with the introduction in 1989 of Circa wrought iron furniture. Circa furniture, being a traditional classical style of furniture, has been produced ever since and continues to be popular today.

The Circa brand has grown to now encompass:
Dining furniture – dining and breakfast tables, chairs, mirrors, bakers stands
Living room furniture – coffee, console and side tables, settees and lounge chairs
Bedroom furniture – bed ends, bedside tables
Lighting – floor lamps, standard lamps, table lamps, wall lights, hanging lights

Along with Circa furniture manufacture, the company introduced a range of steel curtain rods under the Palladio brand name. Palladio offers an extensive range of curtain rods, from formal decorative to classic iron and contemporary. A large selection of curtain rings, c-rings, finials and tiebacks are also available to complement Palladio curtain rods.

The growth of the company has continued and for more than ten years now we have been manufacturing Sound Creations speaker stands, CD and DVD storage units, and welded steel racks for Hi-Fi equipment and televisions. Sound Creations products are available in a standard range of sizes and we also manufacture in custom sizes to suit specific requirements.

Around the same time Forgecraft , previously located in Panmure, became part of the group of IRONCRAFT brands. Under the Forgecraft name we manufacture outdoor wrought iron style furniture; tables in a selection of either timber, mesh, concrete or glass inset or overlay tops, recliners, bar stools, bench seats, bar leaners, loungers, garden chairs, carver and dining chairs.

Three years later, we began manufacturing balustrades, fences, gates and window boxes under the Cottage Iron Works brand. Cottage Iron Works wrought iron furniture designs have been incorporated in the Forgecraft range.

Both quality and design excellence have always been a priority with every piece of furniture IRONCRAFT produces. Our team of highly dedicated and professional craftspeople continue to complete each piece of furniture with care and meticulous attention to detail. Keeping our eye on international trends means fresh designs are part of the company commitment to excellence.

All our products are designed and manufactured in New Zealand.
